Considering changing your letting agent?

Considering changing your letting agent?

Choosing the right agent can be a difficult decision. Whilst it may seem that all agents offer the same services, this is not necessarily the case. Here are 4 key areas to consider:-

  1. Experience - Whilst the agency itself may have been established in your area for many years, staff may come and go. It is therefore important to ensure that the individuals that you will be dealing with have the right level of experience and will always be accessible. As an owner run company, our clients know that the management of their tenancy will be overseen by a Director with over 25 years of experience and that they are able to draw on their experience at any time.
  2. Integrity and continuity - In many large/chain agencies, staff are incentivised solely on the amount of properties let and will not have any dealings with the tenancy after the initial letting is agreed. In this scenario, it is possible that those staff members will focus on quickly finding the first tenant, but not necessarily the right tenant.
  3. Attention to detail - Once a let is secured it is extremely important that the process is professionally handled. We believe that many agents focus on volume lets and do not spend enough time on the letting specifics. Our skill and commitment to ensure a smooth transaction and attention to detail is vital when handling the move in process and our experience and dedication ensures that we are looking after your best interests at all times.
  4. Trust - A landlord has many responsibilities, and we recognise the importance of our role as your Agent. We fully appreciate the trust that a landlord places in us and our commitment throughout the letting and management process gives our clients complete peace of mind and the knowledge that we are always on their side.

Please see what three of our landlord's who came to us after using the services of other local agents had to say about our services:-

Iain Butler

"Gibson Honey let and manage a property for us. They are highly professional, efficient and friendly. Any issues that might arise are raised with us promptly and dealt with in a timely manner. We are really pleased we moved our letting to this company - Laura and her team are great and we would highly recommend this business."

Still with Gibson honey 4 years later and continue to deliver a very high standard of service."

Having had some nightmares with other agents in the past, Laura , Kevin and the team are a breath of fresh air. They are totally accessible, keep me informed, are easy to talk to and very thorough in their tenant checks. They balance the needs of both tenant and landlord sensitively and efficiently. I trust their judgment and integrity implicitly. Thank You Gibson Honey!/"
