Gibson Honey charity football match

To celebrate the start of The Euros we held a charity football match in support of Michael Sobell Hospice.

On the hottest day of the year so far and just before the England Croatia game, we held a football match in support of the local charity Michael Sobell Hospice.

At Michael Sobell Hospice, their mission is to make palliative and end-of-life care available at no cost to patients and their families, to all those who need it, when they need it. They have raised millions of pounds over the last 44 years to give thousands of terminally ill patients the care. dignity and respect they need. NHS funding will always be under pressure - their job is to bridge the gap and make a huge difference to our local community. Their supporters, volunteers and staff play a big part in their work - they want to seize the chance to work with the NHS on new opportunities for developing and delivering palliative and end of life care.

As Michael Sobell are a local charity we couldn't think of anyone better to play football in the sweltering heat for.

The match itself was a fiercely contested game of football between sales and lettings, with sales the eventual victors with the final score at 4 - 2. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and thank you to all who participated in this worthwhile event, we ended up raising £340 for this fantastic cause.

Also a special mention to Eastcote Hockey Club who kindly gave us the pitch half price.

Rental demand remains resilient in early 2026, but growth has moderated. For landlords, spring is less about reacting and more about refining strategy.

In May 2026, pricing strategy matters more than ever. With more homes on the market and buyers watching affordability closely, setting the right asking price can make all the difference to your next move.

If you are thinking about moving in the next 6 to 12 months, a market appraisal is often the best first step. It gives you a clearer view of value, timing and buyer demand, helping you plan with more confidence in a competitive 2026 market.

April is a good time for buyers to focus on readiness rather than guesswork. In a market where choice has improved but confidence remains mixed, being organised can make all the difference when the right home comes along.
