New Sponsorship Announcement.......

Exciting times at Gibson Honey as we have partnered with this local family run business......

We are delighted to announce our new sponsorship of The Maria Anderson School of Dance. Our owners Kevin and Laura are always looking for new ways to help out in the community, and they felt that Maria Anderson was a perfect fit.

Maria Anderson born in 1928, first opened her school after the war in 1945 in her parent’s living room having first been choreographer and performer for a local based entertainment company called ‘Happy Gang’. The company provided shows for hospitals and centres for wounded soldiers.
Maria met her husband while in cabaret, he was a singer with big bands and they married in 1950. During the last 75 years generations of children and young adults have passed through the capable hands of the Maria Anderson studio, a purpose built, sprung floor complex.

The School is now run by her daughter Beverley Hague I.D.T.A and Grand-daughter Lisa Shepherd L.I.S.T.D, who together with the school have achieved great success over the years with a high standard throughout. Students and ex-students have appeared in many pantomimes, touring shows, plays, cruises, cabaret shows, TV work, corporate events but to name a few. Appearances in West End shows such as Mamma Mia, Billy Elliott, Oliver and Wicked to name just a few.

The school offers classes in ISTD Modern, ISTD Tap, Tap Technique, RAD Ballet, Ballet Technique, Jazz, Core Stability (Acro), Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Drama, taking children from age 2 right through to adults. They are very lucky to have some fantastic fully qualified teachers and some amazing choreographers within their team. One of their most recent achievements was being awarded the ‘All England Dance’ choreography award for their Intermediate group ‘Spiders’ choreographed by Susan Galloway and Kylie. Not only do they offer examinations for students but they also compete in a number of dance festivals throughout the year including the All England and shows giving the students plenty of opportunities to perform on stage.

Laura and Kevin at Gibson Honey were both born and raised in Ruislip. They continue to live in Ruislip with their families and are very much a part of the local community, and they could not pass up the opportunity to sponsor this wonderful family Dance School. Laura and her daughter, having been ex students, know first hand the great impact the School has on the local area!

As a thank you for a recommendation for a property to sell or let, from a Maria Anderson School of Dance family, Gibson Honey are giving £50.00 to the dancer, as well as £100.00 to the school, on completion of a sale or let. So if you are looking to sell or let a property, or if you recommend Gibson Honey’s selling or letting services to a friend, you can benefit too! All you need to do is make sure that the person that you recommend to us to mentions your child’s name and as soon as the property that you recommended is either sold or let, the rewards will be coming your way. It’s as easy as that!

In addition to this, any Maria Anderson School family that wishes to sell or let a property with Gibson Honey, will automatically benefit from a discounted fee.

We look forward to working with Maria Anderson and hopefully continuing our sponsorship in the coming years.
