Supporting our local schools

Supporting our local schools

Gibson Honey prides itself on supporting our community and you may have seen our promotions of recent and upcoming school events at BWI and Bishop Ramsey.

We were delighted to be asked to support not one, but two local schools recently, being Bishop Ramsey and BWI.

They approached us to see if we could help supporting their respective open evening and community open days and we were more than happy to assist. Both events went fantastically well and I am sure some of you may have even attended yourselves.

BWI then asked if we could also support their race night and firework night.

Firstly the race night was held on the 15th of October and we sponsored a race. Here is a picture of Ethan receiving his winnings for his horse "Potato" in the Gibson honey hurdle, well done Ethan!

BWI's fantastic fireworks night is being held on Sunday 7th of November and starts at 16:00. For information and to book tickets please call 01895 633520. Please show your support for this wonderful school, it really is a fabulous evening.

If you have any local events you would like us to support then please do get in touch.

As we move through May 2026, buyers are seeing more homes come to market, but affordability still matters. Here is what today’s mix of greater choice, steady demand and higher mortgage costs means if you are planning a move.

Rental demand remains resilient in early 2026, but growth has moderated. For landlords, spring is less about reacting and more about refining strategy.

April is the final window for landlords in England to prepare for the first phase of the Renters’ Rights Act. With the new tenancy regime starting on 1 May 2026, now is the time to review paperwork, processes and whether self-management still feels realistic.

April is a good time for buyers to focus on readiness rather than guesswork. In a market where choice has improved but confidence remains mixed, being organised can make all the difference when the right home comes along.
